Remember,
Just remember,
When on hot angry ground,
We ran, bare foot,
Buddies to the end,
Playing till sunset..
The skin of the mango tree
Bears witness of youth,
As we ascend, for juicy fruits,
Not to satisfy hunger,
But the adventure of climbing,
Heights, dreams; and laughter,
which resonates as we recall,
each moment of our innocent childhood.
Remember,
Please remember,
The dances at moonlight,
The little dangling oranges,
The ones we dared not touch,
For it was forbidden,
To touch that which is forbidden,
We only dreamt of adulthood,
To feel manly, yet we dreamt together,
As they giggle,
Each time we threw them smiles.
Remember,
We promised,
By the udara tree,
To be like the city god,
who works on air,
and sits on his moving house.
Fate knocked at your door,
Mine was standing and ready,
Same wood, same standing,
But fortune whistled at you,
You left and returned,
The god of the adored god,
From your vain lofty heights,
I became the plebian,
Not worthy of a chat,
Because your mind
Has lost is meditative hand,
That can grasp the truth:
No one Knows tomorrow.
