She looked so peaceful as she laid on her bed,
Everyone weeping as they lower her in.
Nobody realized that she was drowning,
Drowning in sorrow,
Weaving in and out of madness.
Her skin was as pale as paper,
Her wrists covered with scars.
Nobody knew how long she felt this way,
Nobody listened to her cry’s for help.
When she would walk down the corridor nobody was the wiser,
She smiled everyday,
No matter how hard,
She would smile,
And when she would smile,
No one questioned her.
Momma was downing a bottle of whiskey,
Standing over her grave.
Daddy was on his knees,
Holding onto her tombstone.
They all beg,
“Please! Oh please!”
“Just give her back to us!”
Everyone knew it was too late,
Nobody could bring her back...
Nothing could bring back the happy girl we used to know...
