Too Soon

Too Soon
Fourteen years old,
still learning who she is,
now carrying a future
she never planned to give.

Books traded for burdens,
playtime replaced by fear,
tears fall in silence
no one else seems to hear.

They called it love,
but love doesn’t rush or harm.
Love doesn’t steal childhood
or leave scars on young hearts.

Children having children,
while the world pretends it’s blind.
Cycles repeat through silence,
generation after time.

No shame on her name,
the failure is neglect.
Protect the youth,
before “too soon” becomes what’s next.
