Like an old toy that gets tossed away.
Stuffing gone along with my dreams.
That's how this toy's life goes it seems.
Nobody ever hearing my screams.
Like another one of your useless play things.
I'm coming apart at the seams.
Never coming out to play.
At the bottom of the toy box I stay.
You've never seen the beauty in me.
I've always gotten in the way.
I'm waiting on the day that you just throw me away.
To you I'm just another useless thing.
As I age I become more undone.
I will probably end up in a thrift shop or some dogs mouth talk about fun.
That's what my life as a toy has been all about.
Enough to fill up any poor toy with doubt.
I got no heart at all and you will never know.
The cowboy and the astronaut are the star of this show.
