The sky kneels here
Mind like a butterfly brings cloud
to the mountain
In rye mustard and corn fields
pregnant fox
bows to the sun.
There is cute little life
in the folds of high and low rocks...
Totopara and Totos' house... right there.
.
Sometimes suddenly Batul
comes & robs
the grasshoppers' sleep
The calling of red rooster
brings unknown wind
on the way to the mountain
In Totopara and Toto's house
some written and unwritten documents
speak of my grandfathers.

1. Batul - hand-made small weapon for bird hunting, found also in tribal area.
2. Toto is isolated tribal group
residing only in a small enclave,
called Totopara, in Alipurduar of West Bengal, India.
