Never get the respect they should

Blamed for not stopping the violence
But not even allowed to save their own ass
Waiting for orders and orders.....
Dressed in khaki and a gun on waist
Still their hands are tied
And cannot take action in haste.
Goons disguised as protestors are stoning them to death
All they have is lathi to extricate.
Never omit the likes of Tukkaram Omle from your memory
Because of whom a thousand kasabs are in custody.
We forget
Even they have families
They are bounded by decree from higher authorities
The best we can do to show our gratitude
Co-operate with them
And salute their fortitude.
