It's a full moon on this halloween
A time for magic for which I have dreamed
The ghouls are away and the goblins asleep
Am I in for a trick or treat
See I've waited a while and I've kissed many frogs
Demons in disguise with a smile hide a snarl of a dog
Do you want to give me something sweet
Or are you going to give me another kick in the teeth
I want to believe in you that I can confide
Or are you another Jeckl with a Mr Hyde?
Love in the dark is sweet
But when you don't know if it's a trick or a treat
Something remains to be seen
Are you a nightmare or a dream?
It's a full moon this halloween
And I'm waiting by the window, with a jack-o-lantern scream
I see the ghost in you, you see the ghost in me
Finally I found transparency
Now the moon is not on the wane
Grab a celebration and set fire to the hay!
For the nightmares have gone away
Leaving magic and the wonder here to stay
And I'm glad I took to the chance
To join the devil with a dance
And now over my feet
It's a real, halloween treat!
