I do not always speak
when words are readily
assembled upon my tongue.
My mind will not allow a voice,
for fear I might express
thoughts wrong.
It is a curious thing,
this hesitation toward
conversation and expression.
One often feels saddened
by such an uncontrolled
reaction of contemplative
repression.
Nonetheless these words
and thoughts and feelings
remain within a heart
which beats in her
direction once freed.
An intervention to overcome
ones own self doubt giving
such harmonious balance,
how powerful her heart must be.
And still at this time she
lends all to me without
apprehension or fear
as to what may transpire.
To feel such a thing
changes a man,
and is reciprocated on my part
by such a long standing,
insatiable desire.
I dream of reaching this woman
to happiness on any level,
and at whatever cost.
I would readily bury my own
esoteric disturbances and bear
such a pain just to see her smile
to this world never lost.
A true human beauty she portrays
to all eyes lucky enough
to catch a glimpse in any direction
she may have,
or is yet to choose.
I consider myself a fool - but better
to be foolish and have
witnessed such beauty than
to be anything else,
and regret the path walked
that can only lead certainly
to empty shoes.
