The motions I go through stay the same,
As the world around me continues to change,
Minimal expressions pierce the layers of appeal,
Giving back few impressions in the communed exchange,
Harder then bedrock is shields for my heart,
Contradictioned desires have their intent,
I've let nothing come past the barriers I set,
Thought its exclusion has left me with unease and uncontent,
Bounced from one compulsion to the next,
Fueled by inevitable fear and states of dispair,
I've become a counterintuitive back and forth,
As my hearts desire to be hidden yet somehow known aware,
Never feeling security from its own self guard,
Because of impulses to be seen within its light,
My heart plays tug a war with hide and seek,
Becoming the main source of its hardest fight.
