TURN TO YOUR CREATOR

TURN TO YOUR CREATOR
Do not put your faith in me,
For I am only human.
My beliefs won’t set you free;
I am only human.

I am like a fragile flower,
Today I bloom so beautifully,
But tomorrow I fade by the hour,
So don’t put your trust in me.

I will fail you every step of the way,
For I cannot know my own end.
Surely, I will lead you astray;
That is just how life is, my friend.

But I have good news for you:
I know One who is not man to lie,
Nor human to change or eschew;
What He says He will do, He will do.

He says His plans for you are good,
To prosper you and give you a future.
He is faithful as He always stood;
His love is more than I can offer.

He knew you before you were born,
Knitted you in your mother’s womb.
His love does not twist or turn;
He is the One who called your name.

To demonstrate His love for all,
He gave His only begotten Son;
Whosoever responds to His call
Will be safe when this life is done.

So I appeal to you today:
Instead of faith in mortal man,
Turn to your Creator; choose Heaven’s way,
And see a change like only He can.

For where I am fragile, He is the Rock,
And where I am silent, He is the Call.
He is the key to every lock,
The One who lifts you when you fall.
