Our turtle did
Not eat today;
Just lies on
His back in
The strangest
Way and
Doesn't move;
I tickle him
Poke him
And dangle a
String in front
Of him;
But he just lies
There
Stiff and cold
Staring straight
Ahead;
Jim says
He is dead
Oh no
I say
A wooden turtle
Cannot die.
