The TV is static
It's starting to feel like the calm before the storm
Tears would fall to a beat I've never heard before
I'll hear all this music and feel my heart retch
But I wouldn't know why I was crying or what was the cause
I hear a few words by a man over a tune
Not singing, speaking
Like he's been telling me something before
This is a sign in some way, shape, or form
I can always feel my eyes burning,
And it's starting to make me think there's something deeper that's wrong than I thought
I'll write, but I could never quite hit the feelings that cut me on the page
So I'll turn the static off
For once, it's quiet again
