Dancing at the edge of twilight
I twirl you to the left
Rocks slide down the immense precipice
Your heel knocks back towards the grainy surface
The sparkle in your eyes leaves me entranced
With the dim light reflecting off your gold locks
As time continues and we still dance
That glimmer radiating from your entire being
Proves our life must exist outside this thin time frame of existence
I twirl you to the right
The view of a nearby village becomes visible
Your heel knocks back toward the solemn ground
And your cheerful smile compliments my gloomy expression
Is this continous dance enough for you to be truly happy?
Staying stagnant, yet moving on this plane of eternity
Where our only time to be is at twilight
While the humans below get to live the life I promised you
But never got to keep
I twirl you towards me and hold you close
Our hearts intertwine as our thoughts collide
The time alloted is almost up
Does my love truly make you happy?
She takes a small breath in
Gazing up at my depleted face
"Of course it does silly, it doesn't matter if we're stuck at this place in time. It doesn't matter that we'll never regain our humanity. All that matters is that we get to stay by each other's side forever."
With this notion of everlasting love and contentment
