T

Unconcerned

Who will utter the truth?
Who will pay the price?
Who will awaken the sleeping conscience of my people?
For unending days the truth buried in silence.
And prolong nights embrace the dizzy minds.
They see evil
They hear abominations
Inconsiderately walk the path of death.
Voiceless are they that know the truth
They conceal it under their guilty pillows
Tears salted with shame
Hung their heads in pride
Raise their shoulders in ignorance.
They stained the wool of judgment with greed
They are dumbfounded with shattered dreams of their children.
Unconcerned they eat the seeds meant for sowing
In silence they eat the unripened fruits of their future.
Wrapped in their unconcerned minds is their disgraceful act.
