They turned their backs on each other
and continued separating ways.
The girl was trying to conquer
the strong cold wind that goes along
with the tiny drops of rain
with her umbrella.
It was like the wind
was pushing her back -
to him.
Her eyes were like clouds
pouring raindrops down her cheeks.
"Are you really trying to stop me, Wind?" she thought to herself.
Eventually, she can no longer fight the strength of the wind.
She walked back
not knowing if she can still find him there. Then she stopped --
trying to force her blurry eyes
to look for signs of him.
She was surprised --
she saw him running back to her, too.
He was crying.
Harder, even.
They wrapped each other with their arms.
Nothing can be seen
but two shadows united as one
under the same umbrella.
Nothing can be heard
but the sound of their cries,
whispers of apologies
and words of love.
She thought
"If two persons are really made for each other, even after making bad decisions, God will
find a way
to stitch up
the story for them."
