I surface just to sink
I close my eyes and try to see
I hold my breath and try to breathe
My heart is pounding harder with every beat. my mind is racing, i cannot think.
I become disoriented, and start to panic. I swing my arms and kick my feet. The more i struggle to swim, the less i succeed.
My chest tightens as it squeezes me unconscious
I gasp for air, water fills my lungs, and i drown.
