P

Unfortunate goodbyes..

You waited for me
Beside the wooden park bench
As I avowed to come.
I paced along the silvery paths
Festooning myself in purple-your favourite
Oblivious I would perish before meeting you
I should have presumably brought a talisman
To assuage you by my presence
That you so covetted for..
Tears I didn't want in your eyes
Despondency I didn't want in your heart
As you stood shivering in the snowfall..
So I went to you in spirit-
Making you feel my presence,
Letting you glimpse me
For the last time..
For seconds few ..
You'll hallucinate me at times
But now I'm off to Zion
Gratified at being able
To keep my promise,
My last promise to you....
