As I sit here with memories and names
Thinking of times when I walked through flames
Of tortured hell and no countless ends
Traveled paths that followed bends
Up and down emotional roads, no signs to lead
Following former steps maybe to greed
My desires led me to this God forsaken place
I rise each morning to check my face
To see if the wrinkles may have faded away
Only to see in my hair like the walls prison gray
A fire stills burns where youth prevailed
Countless crimes and legal hell
Forward motions and time to spend
Sitting here serving time I feel no end
But I think of the one who loves me so
She'll be there for me when I am free to go
Sunlight upon that beautiful face
For when I get out of this forsaken place
To touch the hand where love is pure
For she will take away what I had to endure
