Because you're the only one that I want,

The only one that I need,

The only one that I've got.

I know you think you're worthless,

But girl, I know you're not.

If you could see through my eyes,

You'd realize you're not as bad as you thought.

Girl, you just don't know what you've got.

You're just as beautiful now

As you were when I first met you —

When I looked in your eyes,

It's then I knew I could get you,

And relate to all the pain

And heartaches you went through.

I’m a simple man,

From a small town too —

With some talent to share with you, boo.

Who would’ve knew?

I don't want to live this life

Unless I live it with you.

There's not a thing for you

That I wouldn’t do.

But don't get things twisted —

I speak only the truth.

My standards are high,

So high they stacked through the roof.

I know your damaging thoughts

Can make it hard to get through

Each and every day,

And it tends to upset you.

If all you need is time to heal —

Then baby, I’ll let you.

Don’t worry.

I’ll be waiting right here
