A

untitled no#2

She lives the poetry she cannot write,
She dances in the rain
As the clouds block the light.
She picks wildflowers as her mother did so
She has caused me more pain than anyone knows.
tell me what do I do now
tell me what do do next
tell me and I'll vow
To give it my best
what is that flower
what is the name
honey suckle devours
the bitterness of sugarcane
under street lights
in her under wear
in the city
but no one cares there
my eyes were on you
and the fire hydrants blew
water out in the street
and I thought it was the best
you looked so good soaking wet
a wildflower crown on your head
is left in the freezer frozen in time
you kept it so you'd forever remember
so why did you leave it behind.
