Again his ego in the way
Thought the mountain he could master
Little did he realize
He was heading for disaster,
God gives us mountains to climb
Mountains to master over sin
When we try to master alone
We find the mountain we can't win,
I nearly reached the mountain top
Thought I really had it made
Just before I reach the top
The mountain started to fade,
I did not lean upon God
I did not give Him His glory
I fell and nearly broke my spirit
To many that's the same story,
Ego no longer in the way
I found what righteous can mean
I count no upon myself alone
Upon my God I solely lean.
