Yesterday was the end of my life
I felt the tears as they said good bye
I saw my years in a flash
I saw the good but felt the bad
And it came as no suprise
They moved on
With no thought in their mind
Can't you see that I'm still here
But the veil is up so I'll stay clear
I never wanted you to cry
Now it seems the cause is my life
As I fall upon the rack
They give up what's left of the ash
And it comes as no suprise
We all go
We don't get to grow sometimes
And it comes in waves of chills
And it burns and stretches us still
Yesterday was our last goodbye
If I could stay
Then you wouldn't have to ask God why?
Do you take from me still
We break down
From the inevitable kill
And it comes as no suprise
As the quarts dry out and die
See the smile I use to have
From the photos taken so far back
Yesterday was the end of my life
