VALEDICTION

In the gentle sway of the violin's strings,
He weaves a tapestry of tangled curls,
Each note, a delicate dance that brings,
A story untold, where passion unfurls.
His eyes, like windows to a hidden world,
Fixated on vintage sheets, lost in time,
His touch betrays a love yet unfulfilled,
A gentle caress, his fingers entwined.
Let us embrace acceptance, a virtue pure,
And embark on dreams yet untold, my dear,
Together we'll traverse the unexplored,
Whispering secrets, our hearts sincere.
They say good intentions pave a pathway dark,
Yet assumptions build walls that suffocate,
Unaware, we shape a world with veiled remarks,
Blinded by hands that dictate our fate.
"Where are you going, my child so fair?
Have we not agreed to never flee again?
The pain you witnessed, the wildness you bear,
Remember the consequences you disdain."
But now, my dear, I must break this hold,
For I am more than just your puppet on the stage,
Your pain is not a commodity to be sold,
I'll reclaim my voice, break free from this cage.
In our silence, unresolved emotions loom,
Unspoken words hang heavy on our souls,
The weight of unaddressed grievances consumes,
A parting that leaves us with empty roles.
Yet in this parting, I find solace deep,
In the whispers of closure and lessons learned,
Though our paths now diverge, the wisdom I'll keep,
Of the transformative power of truth unburned.
