"Vanished Voices"

"Vanished Voices"
They didn’t just disappear…
they were taken from time,
ripped from the rhythm of everyday life
like a verse cut short before the rhyme.

A mother is still setting a plate at the table,
a father still pacing the floor at night,
prayers floating heavy in silence,
asking Jah, “Please make this right.”

The streets remember their footsteps,
but the corners no longer call their name,
just echoes of laughter turned whispers,
and a world pretending it’s not the same.

This is not just news…
This is souls in captivity,
dreams interrupted mid-breath,
families drowning in “what if” and “where could they be?”

Who speaks for the voiceless now?
Who fights when hope runs thin?
When darkness moves like a shadow trade,
and evil feels comfortable in its skin.

We can’t normalize missing faces,
can’t scroll past like it’s just another post,
because behind every photo shared online…
is someone who is loved the most.

So light a candle, raise your voice,
say their names like a prayer in the night,
because awareness is more than a moment,
It’s a stand, it’s a fight.

Until every captive finds their way home,
until every chain is undone,
We stand as one people, one heartbeat…
because silence helps no one.
