VANITY FAIR OF LIES IN WONDERLAND

There was an old woman
. . . Who lived in a shoe
She told so many lies
. . . She became a stranger to
truth
So she went down into the rabbit
hole
    . . . To the land of make-believe
Where she could spin her web of
     lies
    . . . Meant only to deceive
She deceived the mad hatter
. . . Who in turn deceived the
               queen
She deceived all of wonderland
    . . . She even deceived me
Mirror mirror on the wall
. . . I am the fairest of them all
I crave attention
    . . . And I want it all
She declared it near and far
. . . She declared the far and wide
You declare a loud enough
. . . And they will believe the lie
But fantasy meets reality
    . . . Sooner than you think
And before you even know it
    . . . Something in Denmark stinks
Soon the facade was over
. . . And all the lies exposed
All of Wonderland could see
    . . . She was wearing the
emperor's new clothes
She wasn't the wonder of
     wonderland
    . . . She wasn't a wonder at all
Just a narcissistic, psychotic, old
     witch
When we set out to deceive
    . . . By spinning a web of lies
Step into my parlor
. . . Said the spider to the fly
In the end, what have you gained
    . . . What is your prize
When all that you are left with
    . . . Is a cache of dead flies
So troll troll troll your boat
    . . . Gently down the stream
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
. . . Your life is make-believe
