you gotta learn to filter out the chatter
You ever think about those battles people be having
Why so many people be adamant about attacking
I guess people be trying to defend themselves
living in a cold hard world called self
I know many of you don't know me
but I came from a hard knock life called misery
misery needs company that's why angrily swearing never gets us anywhere
I pray every day for kids in this day and age
I pray for the strength to turn the next page
I live for God not nobody else
I gave up submission to become compatible with myself
that night my home died nobody gave a crap
I knew he only had hours left
I held his hand and his spirit wept
that was the night my best friend felt kept
