A kind of solace

Divinity in its finest phase
A perching bird up on a tree
A still river, flowing still
Toward the everlasting greatness
Of her.
Enchanted, I had no tools to resist
The poised beauty of a damsel
Afamished and unsatisfied
With the hum drum dum of the forest.
She got me wrapped
Around her body
A new home awaited me
To slip inside was my desire
To see the end, finale.
I felt the squeeze inside me
And then it stopped. All but a heartbeat.
Consciousness faint, my soul adrift,
Her fangs opened wide
And then she swallowed me.
