Visited

I see no more blood in the streets
I hear no more gun shots in the night , no more victimised screams .
Who would have ever though , that one visit from mr covid and all the shadows that haunted our sleep would soon cease.
Finally the children can lay in the silence of their parent's dreams .
But that's all it'll be , a visit
I see no more empty fields
Who would have ever though that one visit from mr covid and the barren grounds would yield , new shelters for the homeless to live.
I see no more shivering in the cold
With in distance we lay in each other's embrace, like how our arms are stretched to find a stranger to hold .
Finally the children will listen to the stories told, and so many stories will be told .
But that's all it'll be, a visit
