Sometimes I stop to wonder about the things you use to say
Did you really mean them or were you just trying to sweep me away?
Your eyes seemed so sincere and you never looked away
So I have to imagine that something changed along the way
Did I get too comfortable, was I not trying hard enough?
I went through all our pictures I placed in a safe folder
You looked so happy
Everything felt intact
Would you let me try harder and keep you this time?
The words that you said couldn’t have been meaningless
So I have to imagine that it’s my fault that I cry
when it's no longer seems like the realest.
