Walking and Talking

As a young lad my Dad told me
If you think you can talk the talk
Then you had best be ready
To walk the walk,
So many pastors, priests, ministers
Try to convince you with talk
That what they speak is the truth
Yet, I doubt for ninety days
They can in anyway walk the walk
Of the homeless and destitute
Being greatful for a meager meal
Walk the walk of the wanderer
Walk in soleless shoes, how does it feel?
Walk the walk of the "Tent City"
These citizen's want no pity
All they want and need is a chance
A chance to work and survive,
The talk may come very easy
The walk is a different story
Just when you think you're heading
For Heaven you're heading for Hells glory.
So now I dare you to rethink your talk
Double check how you're walking
Then ask yourself if you're ready
To accept the fate before you?
