In the battlefield of the soul, there's a constant war,
Between the heart and mind, not knowing what's in store.
The heart, it yearns for freedom, it dreams and loves so deep,
While the mind seeks logic, in every secret it does keep.
The heart, it leaps with passion, with every beat, a song,
The mind, it whispers caution, distinguishing right from wrong.
A war that's fought in silence, a conflict deep within,
A dance of sweet surrender, where neither seems to win.
The heart, it speaks in whispers, in feelings strong and true,
The mind, it counters sharply, with thoughts precise and shrewd.
A battle of wills, a struggle, a never-ending fight,
Between the heart's desires, and the mind's eternal might.
Yet in this war, there's balance, a harmony unseen,
For the heart needs the mind's guidance, on this life's vast, open scene.
And the mind needs the heart's courage, its passion and its fire,
Together, they create a life, of love, wisdom, and desire.
