P

WARNING: RAPE POEM.

I was sitting in the dark, watching shadows dance across my walls when the tiniest sliver of light banished them from my vision.
He was in my room again.
An older man with deep blue eyes, the ones I've learned how to despise, the ones that look so much like mine and I hate it.
His fingers run along my sides, and his words carve their way into my mind, and all I can remember is the first time.
I said no, I said no, I said no, but that meant go so I let him because I had no other choice.
His lips twist in a grin constructed of harsh curses and bitter-sweet murmurs that rolled off his tongue like it was the only language he spoke.
Hands sliding along my hips, and they wonder why I hate my thighs, I hate his lies. Are all men him in disguise?
I said no, I said no, I said no, don't let fear show because you don't have another chance.
I stare down at my hands, a list of demands sits in front of me stating the reasons I'm staying. Shooting lesson, emotional repression, victim-of-abuse confession, nothing works when my hands are pinned under my back.
Nothing works when all I see is him.
I was sitting in the dark, watching shadows dance across my walls when the tiniest sliver of light vanished from my vision.
