I would like to imagine a day without any kind of worrying or pain
Not have to worry about the next meal or place outta the rain
Trying scrub your only shirt you got for school and its just the beginning of the year
Marked up shoes pants too small and worn never had new gear
I didnt have name brand but I had food and clothes and momma praying
I'll take a hard day with a praying momma over the easy life I'm not even playing
She showed me something better to appreciate life and never give up
And no matter what hit life head on with your head up
So I guess my journey to the present wasnt as bad as I thought
I guess it was because I had a momma that prayed alot
Now I know the reasons for your prayers because now I have kids
Your toughness and love and jokineness lives through all your grandkids
