wasted words

one day.
I wrote you a poem.
just to ease the loneliness.
just to be closer to you.
just to feel you.
the words they danced along paper.
pages a silent dance.
a dream known like a fever.
a illusion sweet as love.
delusional I flocked to you.
like a moth to the flame.
knowing I was yours without a word.
without a dead language.
you were my dreams in the dark.
the taste of sugar and salt.
haunted by your presence I become.
drunk by your words I memorized them like a song.
a forbidden love song.
yet a weakness I simply loved.
your curves hugged your jeans I simply adored.
knowing there was no escape.
wasted words as I wrote.
torn by callouses and papercuts.
yet I bled delicately.
just to be.
the want to be with you.
knowing you will never see this.
to recite this would be a symphony but for you I knew you will never be mine.
and this ache lives on.
poetry in porcelain pale skin just to haunt.
something sweeter I dream to taste.
it's only you haunting my mouth.
a kiss to drop my heart to my ribcage.
wanting heaven but it is too far to touch.
yet you are a dream.
a sweet goodbye dream.
it hurts to close my eyes.
yet I don't wake.
yet your black long hair and blue eyes are in fantasies lost in my head.
each one a lost poem.
a lost dream.
a lost rhyme of words.
just wasted words that I'm too scared to say.
