Stillness in the moment
Breathing out, breathing in
Your intoxication
I give in
While my fingers trace your tender art
The warmth melts your skin
Here I lie,
Prodded soundly by your playful flicker
To the sudden quiver of your flame
Flicker any more, however
And I might just have to snuff out
Your little wic.
But then, watching you pool
At the sheets,
Around my arms
Would not make this moment brighter
Any more than your eyes already are
In the morning,
Through noon,
Each day the sun falls,
I look into you
Wax Hearts wane
But may their tides not come too soon
Im going to take my time with you
Until the last trickle of your blaze
Has wrought not for two melting souls alone
But for the shaping of something new
And when the cool of dark
Elicits the cold of that glare you crave
Just know it won't be too long
Before I come again, to ignite that flame
