in my life I've burned, my Share of Bridges
struggle strife running sins deep ridges
I have taken swindled squandered and stole only for regret on this heart to pay the toll
now vision cleared of chemical dependency
seeking forgiveness is my ultimate tendency
from father mother children and brothers friends lovers and so many others
there's a burden I carry with so much sorrow and if only the past was my time to borrow
for chance to make things better or try to make right
just an opportunity to get it together yeah for that I'd find
instead I'm here a different man longing to apologize for all the wrongs if I can
