We are who we are and who we are is Teenagers, hanging out with friends and being free rangers.
Growing up we're taught be who you want, then when we hit 16 all they do is taunt.
We're made to be perfect, made to tow the line, made to try everything and make sure we shine.
The teens who rebel, they warn us about, tell us to stay away and never shout.
Well I'm sorry to say that's not your call, we are the teens you call a downfall.
You call us names like ignorant and a disgrace, you try to slow us down and back to your pace.
But we'll keep on running, out of your grasp because we are who we are no matter how much you gasp.
