He was on the 32nd floor
In a building high
When he lit up with gun fire
The starry night sky,
People who were enjoying
The concert far below
Soon death and anguish
They'd come to know,
With automatic weapons
Firing 400 rounds per minute
He was fighting a mental war
Determined he'd win it,
As the body count
Rapidly climb high
Over 500 would be injured
58 possibly more would die,
From Columbine To Manchester
Sandy Hook and San Bernardino
Will the day's of death end
I fear we may never know,
Questions we asked for hours
Questions without answers
How can we end the madness
Eliminate deaths power,
How can we stop the insanity
How can we stop the pain
How can we make sure
No more senseless die again,
As he fired round after round
From the 32nd floor
When and why he snapped
We may never know for sure.
