Chirping sounds of birds and
bright rays of sun awoke me.
a throbbing pain across the head
burning in the throat
felt something bizarre
Constantly tormented with severe headache
medicines makes me feel better
love of family sustained me through my ordeal,
his compassion and my strong will
raised hope that we shall overcome this precarious state
It took quite a long time to get over the crippling pain
he sat petting me, thinking how unreal this all seemed
though we celebrated that we had overcome the most daunting hardships
