Weathering The Storm

Do you remember the times when those extremely bad storms unexpectedly came through?
You were always so quick to run and take refuge inside, leaving me to weather those storms alone.
I never once left you to weather a storm alone.
I always ran inside, grabbed the umbrella hanging by the door, then came back to you and stood by your side, because I thought we were supposed to weather those storms together.
Over time, I have grown accustomed to weathering those storms alone, and now that I am gone, who will run inside, grab the umbrella and weather those storms alongside you?
