P

weeping tree

Trees do bleed
In shades obscene
I've seen their bones
Charred with apathy
We claim reality
That we are bastions
While our sustenance
Swims in miles of plastic
Blood can wash
If drowned by a nation
But chlorophyll
Stains a generation
Think of the trees
That drink from the past
The wisdom they carry
They wish to pass
Think of the oceans
We think we rule them
That we can tame
the vast cerulean
Yet no concern
Paying our greed
But paying no mind
To when they bleed
Think of the planet
Before you pass
If you do nothing
That is what your
Children will have
