"What are the ingredients needed for change? Cause it never ends. By the crops everybody's dying. Who's guaranteed they'll see the next day? But, we're fighting over how dumb our president is acting? From the oval office, and the pulpits, we're faced with cleaning up their mess. Asking God what are the ingredients for change? Why is the oppression more pressed on the color of my flesh? Or, my own kind catch green eyes of your attention to me. Another Cain and Abel tale, that reflects the condition of people killing people, not guns. What would generate a spark to come to grips with our own ways of coming out of the sand, and bring into focus, that we're capable of uplifting to destroying?
As long as we wear this garment, that testifies against us daily, we'll never be able to plead our case, or say that wasn't me. It's no surprise that the bible is relevant. Look around at the spirits of past heroes, their truimphs and their failures. And, tell me we're not like our ancestors? What would it take for us to spark a change? See that all men are created equal, but because of color you have to be less while I'm superior. Or, the ones with their noses in the air. Or, the uppity christians that thinks Lord, Lord, will get them in the gates. So much division, confusion, and envy towards what you got and they want it by ending your life.
Lord, I look to you to teach us how to spark a change cause I'm so tired of us not reaching our fullest potential. We're grasping at the air, when we should be grabbing towards Heaven. I'm just asking."
