What do you do when the tightness in your chest constricts your final breath?
Your mind decides that your five minutes of activity are up and the last second of life flashes before your eyes.
Your pupils dilate and you see your first crush
The way you looked at him with that glossy film over your eyes
Then your family
Sixteenth Birthday
and you ask
"Did I do it right?"
you see your love, but you are unsure
"Is he the one? What do I do?"
So what did you do?
Marry him
Leave for another passion
you see children
white illuminates around your precious family staring back at you in a affectionate gaze
Your baby starts to cry
what do I do?
"Mommy!"
The white turns into a fixture and the light intenses
is this the end?
What do you do?
Everything starts to fade
You realize you did nothing
but what you had to do
Did you do it right?
it doesn't matter
You did it love
Everything is white
Your eyes have glazed over once again but in a new way that can only be shut
and beyond the grave the question is
What do you do?
