i believe love is something magical,
something special,
love is like this,
for the first time in forever you tell me I love you,
when I hear you whisper quietly to me saying those three words,
my heart was beating faster than a train,
I couldn't believe my ears,
I stuttered my words with "i-i love y-you too",
I was too nervous to get it all out,
we were always in love but not like this,
this time we had a serious kiss,
not the kiss where you smooch smooch or when you kiss gently on the cheek,
we kissed lip to lip making full eye contact,
the butterflies I saw outside yesterday in my garden disappeared and went right into my stomach,
like if it was magic,
but it wasn't,
it was real love,
some people may think love is just about sex,
but it's not,
its about having strong and connected feelings with that one person you admire and they admire you back,
the person who keeps promises and forever loves you until the day they die,
the person who will fight along your side through the rough,
that's what I believe love is
