What I feel for you is something true
Bright, right and new
Never since my time on this earth have I meet someone so amazing and real
There aren’t words to describe what I feel
For that first time in my life I’m able to see
See what love could really mean
Every man that had come into my life prior to you only wanted one thing and made me believe stories that I thought were true
In the process I lost who I was, because of all the deception my walls crumbed then grew.
I was played so much and in the end got screwed
Left thinking I was the problem and was dirty not knowing til the bitter end I was used
But when you came along things were different you asked me what I wanted and treated me with dignity
You put me on a pedestal, told me I’m amazing without excepting anything in return
I can be who I truly am without having to feel discouraged
Without holding back myself in thought of it pushing you away
In fact you invite my weird and quirky side out to play
You give me a reason to express my love each day
You hold my heart because you show me that me, myself, is more than enough
I love you today, tomorrow and can’t wait for our future to come
No matter what comes next together both of us will be for I love you for who you are and you do me!
