What I Should Have Told You

Parting is such sweet sorrow. A hostage to your emotions drowning in a sea of troubles. Alone in a crowded room, asphyxiation stifles your throat. For I am left alone. Absolutely unsure the line between my instability and reality. Dismayed in profound bereavement, dewy eyed, I cry a million tears. Your absent presence leave her cadaveric. Devoid of emotion.
Some say find success but lose your humanity. By God I go. I'd give anything to get back the lost years, the regret of a lost love. For so many souls lost in the darkness. Those days are lost forever. I lost me somewhere along the way. Years we spent in the backbreaking achiness.
Here, in this condemned world, I walk through the never ending bridge of sighs fading like a wilting flower. You were gone too soon. We too are dismayed and restless as the wind with my corrupted spirit black as the ace of spades.
The passion that roared is now a whisper. A whisper of what once was. The whisper of a year A teardrop in the ocean turning to stare back at me as an ocean of faces. Tear stained memories pressed between the pages. These half remembered memories. I'd rather make them than preserve them.
Aye! My white winged dove, failure is not an option! Your life is waiting. A new beginning. A debt of gratitude I lay due. Hear clear and hear steady my dear father, this I must convey:
Sure as the sun will rise tomorrow, I will claim the armor of truth. Standing on the shoulders of Giants, strength and dignity are my clothing as the Lord is my Shepherd provide the patience of Job and the path to glory for it be the path least traveled.
A beacon in the dark, you are an island of light in a sea of darkness. You behold the heart of a lion, a guiding light, laying the seeds of wisdom like salt of the earth. Embrace this second chance for I will miss the sunshine of your smile. From your bed of roses, take your place in the sun, spread your wings of victory and fly higher then the eagles. The fountain of life is within you now. You have taught me that faith can move mountains and a thing of beauty is a joy forever. Truer words were never spoken. Follow the dictates of your conscience for home is where the heart is and to thine own self be true.
The calm brisk air breeze kisses my cheeks light as a mother's gentle lips on a babe and I beam. From the land looking up into the sky and into your pleasing eyes I gaze, as the clouds awaken blossoming once again.
R.I.P. daddy
Blessed are the pure of heart your love shines through, forever and ever, amen.
