WHAT IF...

What if you woke up and found yourself standing next to your dead body?
The sound of the light calling and beckoning for you. To come home.
Realizing the life you had was no more.
The last stage of mortality.
Would you try to wake yourself from the dead nobody?
Resurrect the corpse of a sinful being or a a glorious saint?
Reminiscing the love you left behind.
Would you try to call for help from somebody?
A supernatural being.
To take you back. Reset. Rewind. Repeat.
Would you do better?
What if you woke up and found yourself suspended on air?
Floating in the sky. Like the eagles He created.
The wind brushing on your cheeks.
Maybe you could touch the sun?
Kiss the moon goodnight?
Would you try to stand on the air?
Trying to gain balance of everything.
Your life, your love, yourself?
But you feel nothing. Below and within. Just emptiness.
Would you try to sit on the air?
In the midst of the turbulence watching the world below,
A speck in the distance.
So far but yet so close to your heart.
Would you call upon your heir?
And tell them that you are no more.
Cry from the great beyond.
Tell him to be better?
Did you teach him to be better?
What if you woke up and found yourself back in the years?
When time never moved.
An era of choices and consequences.
A time of bad choices and regrets.
Would you be happy or in tears?
For the love and joy you brought to other men.
Or the misery and pain brought along with your existence?
The sacrifices you made.
Would you accept that life as yours or theirs?
What if the answer to what if is what if?
What if you chose better?
Become better.
Today.
Its not too late.
