When there were more questions than answers
And we kept things unreal
As the sparks evaporated,
Timings didn't bode well
You asked me to broach my plans
Yet our thoughts couldn't play a start
And next day we both knew
We hurt each other's hearts
When fate meld our lives and threw us sticks and stones
Our pride pulled us down, even harder than our bones
Nobody wanted to listen, we insisted on our reasons
Then we lost our compassion, we lost our directions
Our years of togetherness rolled like it didn't exist
We're young and immature, we're selfish and tactless
Now, I can look back and ponder, realizing it wasn't that bad
You were warm, slightly egoistic. And the funniest man I ever had.
What if I stayed during the shaky times,
Would we see the shades of red and blue?
What if I asked you to stay, would there be me and you?
What if I held you tight instead
Of letting our chances go?
What if I stayed, would be both learn and grow?
