At night while you're sleeping in your bed you wonder about your life what lies ahead
Will you be happy will you be sad will it be good times or bad
Will you find love or will you be alone will you have no friends or so many you always on the phone
Will you be rich will you be poor how many kids will you have one two three four
Will you be smart and invent something that will change the world for good or bad will you make jokes laugh and play or always be mad
Oh my little baby don’t you cry you will know someday what is around the bend just enjoy your life until it ends
For that is what is so special about life the time we spend not knowing what is around the bend I can’t tell you that you be healthy and wise or if you will be sick and always trying to mend
I can keep you warm and say I love you every day I can teach you then watch you grow and watch you play
Teach you manners and how to respect others that are different and not your sisters or brothers
I can teach you the stars and all their names and yes it's funny that all of them sound the same
I love you my baby but in the end it would be up to you to find what is around the bend
