If there was no one to tell us what "beautiful" was then what would beauty really be? Every where I look there is someone telling me that if I look a certain way the world will think I'm "beautiful". What if I think I'm "BEAUTIFUL" the way I am? Is that so wrong? What makes the way I look any less "beautiful" then the girls in the magazines? Would the world stop spinning if I was labeled "beautiful" instead of just the fat girl?
Would it be so wrong to show that? Even the songs on the radio make it seem like being the way I am is wrong. You never hear them singing about the smart girl with glasses and a belly. It is much easier to push the idea that skinny is pretty, but is it really? When there is a bigger girl in the movies and she wears a certain outfit they say "she was brave." instead of just saying "damn she looked good!". If a skinny girl had on the same outfit they wouldn't say she was brave they would say "she looks good."
I wish it was possible to look in the mirror and not hear the magazines "10 quick tips for losing belly fat.". Its not like I chose to be this way or havent tried to be like the skinny girls. But still after twenty four years on this planet you would think I'd grow used to the magazines and online articles, but I'm not.
I get tried of everyone saying "Beauty" is only one thing. I want to go to a place where there is no such thing as the magazines version of "BEAUTY".
I think that would be quite nice.
